SSDI recipients are receiving their checks early this week. That is why

If your birthday falls between the 11th and 20th, you will receive your payment one day earlier this week; we will explain why. If you haven’t received your May SSDI check yet, here’s what to do.

There are four scheduled Social Security payment dates each month. Payout date depends on when you started receiving SSDI, as well as your date of birth. If you do not receive a payment by the end of the month, you may need to contact the Social Security Administration.

Below, we’ve listed the dates when your SSDI money may arrive. Note that SSDI is paid on the same day Social Security Payments.

There are exceptions. If the third day of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, you will receive payment on the nearest business day. For example, March 3rd fell on a weekend, so some SSDI recipients received their payments two days early, on March 1st.

When the check arrives depends on your date of birth and the year you started receiving SSDI money.

When will you receive your SSDI payment in June?

Here’s when your payment should arrive this month:

June 3: Payment to those who received SSDI before May 1997.

June 12: SSDI payments for those with birthdays falling between the 1st and 10th of any given month.

June 18: SSDI payments for those with birthdays falling between the 11th and 20th of any given month. This is one day earlier than the regular Wednesday payday because June 19 is June 19, a federal holiday.
